Emmanuel Gregoire wins Paris mayoral race in French municipal elections
Emmanuel Gregoire of the Socialist Party won the Paris mayoral runoff with 51–53% of the vote, defeating Conservative Rachida Dati. The far-right National Rally made gains in smaller cities but failed to secure Marseille or Toulon.
